Juicy Air Fryer Burger Patties (No Grill Needed!)

🛒 Ingredients (Makes 4 Patties)

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 for best juiciness)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp ketchup (optional – adds moisture)

  • 1 tbsp cold butter (grated, optional secret trick)

Optional:

  • 4 slices cheddar cheese

  • Burger buns & toppings

🥣 Step 1: Mix the Meat (Don’t Overwork!)

  1. In a bowl, add ground beef.

  2. Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder.

  3. Add Worcestershire sauce and ketchup.

  4. Gently mix with hands until just combined.

    • ❗ Do NOT overmix (makes burgers tough).

  5. If using grated butter, gently fold it in.

✋ Step 2: Form the Patties

  1. Divide into 4 equal portions.

  2. Shape into patties about:

    • ¾ inch thick

    • Slightly wider than your buns

  3. Press a small indent in the center (prevents puffing).

🌬️ Step 3: Air Fry to Perfection

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.

  2. Place patties in basket (don’t overlap).

  3. Cook:

  • 8–10 minutes total for medium

  • Flip halfway (around 4–5 minutes)

Internal temperature:

  • 135°F = medium-rare

  • 145°F = medium

  • 160°F = well done (USDA recommended)

🧀 Step 4: Add Cheese (Optional)

During the last 1 minute:

  • Place cheese slice on each patty.

  • Close air fryer to melt.
