    Air Fryer Cheesy Egg Toast

    • 2 slices thick-cut sandwich bread (white, brioche, or Texas toast works best)

    • 2 large eggs

    • ½–1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese

    • 1–2 tbsp softened butter (optional, for extra crispiness)

    • Salt to taste

    • Black pepper to taste

    • Optional: garlic powder, chili flakes, chopped parsley

    1️⃣ Prepare the Bread

    1. Lightly butter one side of each slice (this will be the bottom for extra crisp).

    2. Using a spoon, press down the center of each slice to create a shallow well.

      • Do not press all the way through.

      • You want a β€œnest” to hold the egg.


    2️⃣ Add Cheese Barrier

    1. Sprinkle shredded cheese around the edges of the bread, forming a border.

      • This creates a β€œdam” so the egg doesn’t spill.

    2. Add a little cheese inside the well too.


    3️⃣ Add the Egg

    1. Crack one egg directly into the center well of each slice.

    2. Season with salt and pepper.

    3. Optional: sprinkle garlic powder or chili flakes.


    4️⃣ Air Fry

    1. Preheat air fryer to 350Β°F (175Β°C) for 2–3 minutes.

    2. Line basket with parchment paper (with holes if possible).

    3. Carefully place toast inside.

    4. Air fry for:

      • 7 minutes for runny yolk

      • 8–9 minutes for medium yolk

      • 10 minutes for fully set yolk


    5️⃣ Finish

    • Check doneness (egg whites should be fully set).

    • Remove carefully with a spatula.

    • Garnish with parsley or extra pepper.

    • Serve immediately.

    • Use thick bread β€” thin bread may get soggy.

    • If egg spills, try cracking egg into a small bowl first, then gently pouring.

    • For crispier edges, flip toast for last 1 minute (carefully).

    • If cheese browns too fast, lower temp to 325Β°F.

    • Add crumbled cooked bacon on top before air frying.

    • Add sliced avocado after cooking.

    • Add a drizzle of hot honey.
