This Anti-Inflammatory Herb & Feta Olive Oil Bread Dip is a Mediterranean-inspired appetizer packed with healing fats, fresh herbs, and antioxidant-rich spices. Extra virgin olive oil forms the base, while garlic, oregano, basil, chili flakes, and feta cheese add bold flavor and powerful anti-inflammatory benefits. Perfect for dipping warm crusty bread, sourdough, or even low-carb flatbreads.

    Ingredients

    • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil (cold-pressed)

    • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced

    • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

    • 1 tsp dried oregano

    • 1 tsp dried basil

    • ½ tsp crushed red chili flakes (adjust to taste)

    • ¼ tsp turmeric powder

    • ¼ tsp black pepper (activates turmeric)

    • ¼ tsp sea salt (or to taste)

    • 2 tbsp crumbled feta cheese

    • 1 tsp lemon zest (optional but highly recommended)

    Instructions / Directions

    1. In a small bowl, pour in the extra virgin olive oil.

    2. Add minced garlic, parsley, oregano, basil, chili flakes, turmeric, black pepper, and sea salt.

    3. Stir well until all herbs and spices are evenly mixed.

    4. Gently fold in the crumbled feta cheese.

    5. Finish with lemon zest for a fresh, anti-inflammatory boost.

    6. Let the dip rest for 10–15 minutes to allow flavors to infuse.

    7. Serve with warm bread, pita, or vegetable sticks.

Pro Tips (Diet & Health Related)

    • Use high-quality extra virgin olive oil for maximum anti-inflammatory benefits.

    • Let the dip sit longer (up to 30 minutes) for deeper flavor infusion.

    • For dairy-free, skip feta or replace with nutritional yeast.

    • Pair with whole-grain or sourdough bread for better gut health.

    • Avoid heating the oil directly to preserve antioxidants.
