    What Is Golden Milk?

    Golden milk is a warm turmeric drink traditionally used in South Asian kitchens and wellness routines. It combines turmeric with spices and milk to create a comforting, flavorful drink.


    Ingredients (1 Serving)

    Main Ingredients

    • 1 cup milk
      (whole milk, almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk)
    • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 small pinch black pepper
      (helps improve turmeric absorption)
    • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup

    Optional Ingredients

    • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
    • 1 small cardamom pod
    • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or ghee for extra richness
    • Tiny pinch nutmeg

    • Small saucepan
    • Spoon or whisk

    Step-by-Step Instructions

    Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

    Measure all spices before heating:

    • Turmeric
    • Cinnamon
    • Black pepper
    • Ginger (if using)

    This helps prevent lumps while cooking.


    Step 2: Heat the Milk

    Pour 1 cup milk into a saucepan.

    Heat on low to medium heat for about 2–3 minutes until warm.

    Do not let it boil aggressively.

    • Ginger
    • Cardamom (optional)
