Ingredients

1 bunch asparagus (about 1 lb / 450 g)

12 slices thin-cut bacon (not thick cut — it won’t crisp as well)

1–2 tablespoons olive oil

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Step 1: Prep the Asparagus

Wash and pat dry completely.

Trim the woody ends (about 1 inch off the bottom).

Quick method: bend one spear — it will naturally snap where tender meets tough.

If spears are very thick, slice them lengthwise for even cooking.
Step 2: Season

Place asparagus in a bowl.

Step 3: Make the Bundles

Wrap one slice of bacon tightly around the center of each bundle.
